There's always something to see, listen to or participate in. We often invite fascinating artists from the worlds of music, art and culture to come and perform. We also organise a wide-ranging programme of events and parties.

This year we have our fabulous party marquee in place.  Seating up to 60 with a dance floor and a stage this lovely addition to the pub is available to hire for your parties, functions and weddings from just £50 per night, or £100 for the whole day!  All of our entertainment evenings start at 8pm with the meal and the music runs until 11pm.

Don't miss this one, musical entertainment plus a fabulous all you can eat Oriental Buffet menu for just £10 per person!  Celebrate this year in the chinese calendar, Book early, places are limited!  Food is served at 8pm.

Held in our party marquee, take your selection from our vast array of starters and main meals - and eat as much as you like! - all for just £10 per person.

To complete your evening we have musical entertainment to keep you entertained until 11pm in the evening!

Black Tie Dinner & Dance

Have a fabulous night in our party marquee in all your finery!  Enjoy a three course meal to include a starter, the opportunity to carve  your own roast beef at the table, and a dessert, whilst dancing the night away to our resident disco - all for just £25 per person.  Tables are booking up fast so reserve your table quickly

Queens Diamond Jubilee Event

2nd,3rd,4th and 5th June 2012

The Blue Bell Inn will be dressed up in its best of british theme for the entire weekend. There will be a special new 'Best of British' fayre menu, covering the best british dishes from the last 60 years, and for this weekend only, we will give all adults ordering from the Best of British Main Meals, a complimentary celebration glass of house wine or a pint from a selection of our finest beers!

We will be holding a Best of British BBQ on Monday 4th from 3pm, weather permitting we will have games for the kids, plus face painting and a tombola stall with musical entertainment for all!

Mothering Sunday

Halloween

Kids Party from 6pm -  8pm

Fun for all the family, we have a kids party every year at the pub and they get to enjoy all the traditional games of dunking for apples, eating donuts suspended from the ceiling, musical zombies, pin the wart on the witches nose and more!  Free party bags for all kids - you must let us know if you are attending and we can make sure there is a party bag for your child!  Themed menu available on the night with such delights as Dead Mans Fingers and Sweeney Todd Pie - book early if you want to reserve a table.  We all dress to impress and the pub is fully dressed for the occasion with a smoke machine in evidence on the night!

Bonfire Night

We love bonfire night at The Blue Bell!  Free firework display at 7.30pm, with us catering outside with a selection of hot soup, 12 inch hot dogs in baguettes, chips and homemade bonfire toffee for sale.  Full menu available inside - everyone welcome!

December Theme Nights

Every Saturday in December, £25 per person

We party during December in our party marquee, attached directly to the entrance of the pub, we have top tribute acts every Saturday throughout December.  Price includes a 3 course set meal, please let us know if you are a vegetarian.  Meal served at 8pm, acts start at 9pm - book early - these fill up quickly!

We celebrate christmas in style at The Blue Bell.  Party menu available for small and large parties throughout December at £17.95 for 4 courses.  We dress the tables for you and do our best to make your party special - you must pre book and order in advance.

Christmas Day books up early, so reserve your table quickly! Six courses on Christmas Day for just £54.95, we really try to create the best day we can for you and this has always been a great success for us!  Confirmation and payment for Christmas Day must be completed by 14th November.

New Years Eve

31st December 2012, Dinner Dance £35 pp, Bar only - free admission

New Years Eve is a great evening at The Blue Bell.  We have a black tie Dinner & Dance in our party marquee, where each table can enjoy a 4 course set meal which includes a whole Turkey and all the trimmings to carve yourselves at the table, and is followed by a traditional christmas pudding flamed with brandy.  Video Disco to play you through the night and show you Big Ben to count down the New Year, complimentary glass of champagne at midnight to all diners.

Every year in the bar area, we invite you to spend New Year with us free of charge.  We provide a free buffet around 10.30pm, and ring in 2013 with you on the pub brass bell accompanied by the village bellringers ringing in the New Year in the adjacent village church.  Reserve a table early in the bar area, we fill up very quickly at New Year

Burns Night Celebration!

26th January 2013  £15 per person, 4 course meal and piper.

Join us at The Blue Bell Inn to celebrate Burns Night.  Our fantastic fun evening starts with a traditional warm welcome by a real piper playing for you as you arrive at the pub! There can be few places in the area where you have a burns night not only with a piper but also a tartan carpet and scottish hosts! Try traditional scottish fayre, a very tasty 4 course meal, culminating in the piping in of the ceremonial haggis.  Not your traditional burns night, this is all about fun and laughter and you might even learn a few traditional scottish sayings and traditions!
